Editorial standards

A tyre article that cannot be checked is just a brochure. These are the rules the desk uses before a piece goes up.

Independence

Brisbane Tyres does not take inventory, booking fees or a cut of a fitting-bay invoice. Brand names appear because they are in the Australian market — the same list the 2007 site kept on the homepage — not because a launch event went well. If a piece is paid, it is labelled. Paid and guest-post links use rel="sponsored". See write for us.

Evidence

Safety claims lean on ADR, Australian Design Rules language, manufacturer placards, and publicly described test methods such as wet braking and UTQG where those marks appear on a tyre sold here. We do not invent a “best tyre in Brisbane” ranking. We explain trade-offs.

Local colour — heat on the Gateway, standing water under the Story Bridge, corrugations out past Esk — is reported as driving context, not as a product test. When we do not have a number, we say so.

Corrections

If we get a load index, a legal minimum tread, or a workshop detail wrong, we correct the article and note the update date in the byline. Send the error through contact. We would rather look careful than look certain.

Sources and voice

Australian English. Kilometres, kPa, millimetres of tread. We write the way the old site did — directly, a little conversational, never cute about a blow-out. History pieces credit the usual public record: Goodyear and vulcanisation, Thomson’s Aerial Wheel, Dunlop, Michelin’s radial.

Images

Photographs are Creative Commons or public domain, self-hosted, and credited on the page and on the image credits page. We do not scrape manufacturer catalogues.

These standards apply to staff copy and to guest copy. If a contributor will not meet them, the pitch ends there.
